Teva was born in the Grand Canyon back in 1984, when a river guide rigged two Velcro watchbands to an old pair of flip flops and created a shoe that wouldn't float away. This adventurous spirit—the one that pioneered the very first pair of Teva sandals—takes form in everything we create.

In 2020, we transitioned 100% of our iconic straps to traceable verifiable recycled plastic using REPREVE® yarn. Since then, we’ve diverted 40 million plastic bottles from landfills and put them to better use, strapping sandals to your feet.
